It’s the final battle against the First Lantern and the Guardians in this, the extra-sized finale of Geoff Johns’ historic run on the title!

It’s all been building to this. The First Lantern has been messing with the reality of all the Lanterns. He’s been toying with them and showing them all the possible versions of themselves. It’s time for the them to fight back. Geoff Johns is finishing up his long run with the Green. We thank him for the work he has done and look forward to the next adventure for both he and the Green Lantern Corps.

A new vision for the future comes to life today as Microsoft Corp. unveils Xbox One, the all-in-one gaming and entertainment system created for today and the next generation. At Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Wash., the company showcased how Xbox One puts you at the center of all your games, TV, movies, music, sports and Skype.

“Xbox One is designed to deliver a whole new generation of blockbuster games, television and entertainment in a powerful, all-in-one device,” said Don Mattrick, president, Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. “Our unique, modern architecture brings simplicity to the living room and, for the first time ever, the ability to instantly switch across your games and entertainment.”

Thief reboot confirmed for Xbox One

Thief 4 LogoIn a press release from Square Enix, Thief (formerly Thi4f, and Thief 4) has been confirmed for realease on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC in 2014.

Pending pricing announcements from Sony and Microsoft, the title may also refer to those that lurk around corners behind Gamestop hoping to nab next-gen systems at a “discount”.  Buyers, beware of water arrows fired from the shadows.

Microsoft has revealed the Xbox One and with it a look at what power the system has to offer. While there is a lot of information to still be gathered here is what we know so far and in parenthesis what the PS4 has advertised as well for comparison:

– Xbox One will have a Blu Ray drive (So will the PS4)

– Xbox One will utilize an 8 Core CPU (The PS4 CPU uses an 8 Core X86 AMD Jaguar
GPU)

– Xbox One will have 8GB of System Memory (The PS4 will have 8GB GDDR5 RAM)

– Xbox One will offer a 500 GB Hard Drive (Sony is only saying that the PS4 will have a ‘very large’ Hard Drive at the time)

– Xbox One will have 802.11 Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct (The PS4 will as well)

– Xbox One utilizes USB 3.0 (It can be assumed the PS4 will as well.)

– Xbox One will have HDMI in/out (As will the PS4)

These are the comparisons that can be made thus far. More info to come as it develops.

Microsoft’s ‘New XBOX’ Reveal Live Stream

Back in February, Sony announced the Playstation 4. While the presentation was a bit lackluster it showed off a beefy new system that will bring a lot to gaming when it hits stores later this year.
