Studio MDHR taks the style of 30’s cartoons and with grand love and great difficulty applies it to video games with the running and gunning, ‘Cuphead’. While we have come a long way with the artistry and technology used to create our modern games, we can still find innovation and be impressed by looking to our past. Cuphead may look simple but it is by no means being phoned in. With hand drawn and animated characters, classic static, water color backgrounds and original music inspired by the toons of the era, Cuphead is looking to make worlds collide.

The Shredder has died. As the leader of the Foot Clan he provided no shortage of obstacle and offense to The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles over the years. His very personal battle against Splinter and the boys was seemingly never ending and while he was indeed evil and a villain of the highest order his focus and drive could not be disregarded. He was a bad guy, but without the bad guys our heroes could not be heroes.
4A Games’ Metro 2033 was a smash hit in 2010, impressing PC gamers with its incredible graphics and unique gameplay, which bucked the bombastic trend that permeated the ever more explosive shooters of that era. The story, too, was a cut above the rest, having been adapted from a Russian novel that went viral online before becoming a best-selling published work. Unsurprisingly, a sequel was commissioned, and now players can experience it on Steam. Called Metro: Last Light, this long-awaited sequel offers a direct continuation of Metro 2033’s story, putting the player in the shoes of Ranger Artyom once more. Having done what was asked of him in 2033, regardless of the repercussions, Artyom must now explore long-forgotten sections of Moscow’s underground metro railway to confront his greatest fears, and to save what’s left of his post-apocalyptic world.

It’s time for the them to fight back. Geoff Johns is finishing up his long run with the Green. We thank him for the work he has done and look forward to the next adventure for both he and the Green Lantern Corps.
