You loved all of customization options in Skyrim.  Building your character in form and function and choosing just the right apparel to strike fear into your enemies at just a glance.  You loved the Skyrim experience, but one thing was missing.  How did they omit this obvious feature?

All wrongs have been righted now.  For $5 you can finally build a house in Skyrim.  Use the drafting table and carpenter’s bench to fashion new furniture and decorations.  Build an alchemy lab, armory, garden, stable and more.  Your dragonborn can also choose to adopt children.

So get on with it.  Build the orphanage of your dreams today!

The opening cinematic to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron sounds as good as it looks

Upon launching the game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, you are graced with this emotional video showing a mostly destroyed Cybertron and it’s inhabitants engaging in a civil war.  It would be a cool video to see if it didn’t have the music.  But Puscifer’s “The Humbling River” really sells the mood and makes it something to see, if you have even a mild fondness for the Transformers.  The classics are here, Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream.  Enough talk!  On with the show.

Dust: An Elysian Tail Review – Art in motion

I don’t want to wait until the end of the review to tell you I think this game is amazing and that you should buy it.  I feel like it almost does an injustice to the efforts of it’s creators to pick it apart and tell you what I think of it’s elements.  But I was selected to inform you, based on my opinion, if this game is worth your time and money.  It is, and because it’s my job, I will tell you why.

Netflix “Just for Kids” now available on Xbox 360

Netflix streaming was always an incredibly effective babysitter, and it just got better.  Launching today, everywhere Netflix streaming is already available, is Netflix “Just for Kids”.

Update your Netflix app and you will be greeted with the option of using Just for Kids, which is aimed at children 12 years old and under and only displays kid-friendly content.  You can search based on criteria like dinosaurs, superheroes, girl power, and princesses.  And using the Kinect sensor you can search with just your voice.

Of course, you will still need a Netflix account, an Xbox Live Gold membership, and some high speed internet.  Pittance for having a thousand hours of child care at your disposal.
