Peter Dinklage Joins X-men: Days of Future Past

Comics, Movies/TV

Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones and The Station Agent has been cast for the upcoming X-men: Days of Future Past. His role has not been specified as of yet but everyone is assuming he will play Puck of Alpha Flight due to him being the most well known super heroic little person in the X-men universe. He could still play someone else but this is the odds on favorite. Personally I’m hoping he plays Doop.

Happy Birthday to Stan Lee!!!

Comics, Left Field, Movies/TV

We here at Fizmarble would like to send out a big Happy Birthday to Stan’ The Man’ Lee. He is the comic world’s most iconic personality and he turns 90 today showing that just like so many of the comic books he helped start he has longevity and resilience at near super powered levels.

Along with his artist collaborators Stan helped create Spider-man, The X-men, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four and many more. He has kept busy in the industry all this time with creating new original characters and having a go at what his vision of the DC Universe would be as well.

He currently voices Stan the Janitor on the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon along with his appearing in his customary cameo in Marvel movie releases, which you can see in the video below. He also hosts his Academy of Heroes reality tv show on the World of Heroes Youtube channel.

He is a true advocate of the comic book world and one of its best representitives and helped create a number of characters that have had an impact on me over the years. We tank you for all you have done and do Mr. Lee. Happy Birthday to you and…..Excelsior!!!

Stop Motion 90’s X-Men Cartoon Intro by Reckless Abandonment Pictures

Comics, Left Field

Check out this awesome video from Kyle Roberts and the crew at Reckless Abandonment Pictures. They have a number of humorous videos on their Youtube page but the best stuff I find to be their stop motion videos. They have meticulously remade a number of classic cartoon intros along with other fun takes on things like an Iron Man vs. Batman fight scene and Wall-E meeting Michael Jackson. This X-Men one brought the nostalgia flooding back. It took a lot of time and work to create these. Great work guys and I look forward to seeing what other things get the Reckless Abandonment treatment. Check out their Stop Motions Youtube Page at the link below.
