Simon Pegg tweeted this first look at himself, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Martin Freeman and Paddy Considine from The Worlds End. It is the third movie from Edgar Frost in the Three Corinettos trilogy. Maybe this is what the Mayans were talking about? Wow….what a marketing campaign. I can’t wait for this film but I will have to as it does not come out until Ocotber 25th of next year.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Pegg), a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

The World’s End Teaser Poster

A teaser poster for Edgar Wright’s next film The World’s End was released today. This is the third in his “Three Cornettos” trilogy which also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It will be released on October 25th of next year. It’s a long ways off but unless the Apocalypse happens in December it will come quickly.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost once again star with Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike joining them. I’m really, really looking forward to this. Shaun of the Dead is a perfect movie in my eyes and Hot Fuzz was great as well. Edgar Wright and crew know how to put together a quality film.

The World’s End goes a little something like this:

In “The World’s End,” 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
