Editor in Chief Orion Williams and I have played many, many, many video games during our lives. Some were brief but fun jaunts. Others are still talked about as if the stuff of legend. Multiplayer moments have been created. Stories still told to this day. Experiences were had that have helped shape how we look at future games. Silliness and glitches and physics engine wackiness has been seen and still almost not believed. We have played many, many, many games and of all those games these titles have made the most impact for their own very special reasons. Take a look as Fizmarble presents Orion Williams’ and Brian Coelho’s top 5 picks for each of our favorite games of all time.
It’s about that time to say goodbye to 2012 and hello to the new year. Thinking and looking back at the year there were a lot of great entertainment releases in music, film, books and games. Before we start getting amped up for what 2013 has in store I thought I’d go back and offer up my picks for my own best of 2012 in various categories. These are my own personal choices and do not reflect how well something did for ratings or sales or how much it was pushed in front of our faces. Not your list or their list. They are the movies, games and the such I got the most enjoyment out of and the best experiences. When I find something that good I just have to share it. So if you have also enjoyed these items right on and high five. If not then click on the pictures for most of them are links and go grab a copy of your own. There was no clear winner for me in any particular category so this will just be my top choices in no particular order. Here are my Fizmarble picks for the Best of 2012.
Amazon is currently offering the newest Silent Hill game for $21.10 on the PS3 but has dropped the price all the way down to $13.99 for the Xbox 360. If you were looking for an excuse to pick this title up well there ya go. I played it and enjoyed it. I’ve liked all of them for one reason or the other but of course have my favorites in the series. While this one is a bit of a different approach it was very intelligently done and had a lot of moments that fully pulled me in. I’d suggest it to any fan of survival horror and action games as well.
