Disney has confirmed their plan to release stand-alone movies based in the Star Wars universe focusing on individual characters more. This is very much like their use of Marvel’s Avengers in which their are bigger stories told as a team but more singular stories told like in Thor and Iron Man films.
Boba Fett and a young Han Solo will be the subjects of the first two projects when they get underway. They will most likely follow Star Wars Episode 7 in 2015. The Han Solo film will be before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and focus on the adventures of the younger Solo where as Boba Fett’s film will be between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Fett is a popular character in the Star Wars mythos and while he was utilized by the Empire he is a bounty hunter and serves no one side.
