Edgar Wright recently spoke with IGN and had the following to say in regards to where he is at with the Ant-Man movie:
“I’ve been collaborating with [Marvel Studios Producer] Kevin [Feige] during the whole of that cycle. I think people have always assumed… ‘Oh why is it taking so long to make?’ Part of it is because I wanted to make two other movies first. I wanted to make World’s End… me and Simon were very keen to make it and it felt like it was unfinished business and we wanted to wrap up the trilogy. The script came together really fast. Well not really fast, but it came together at a certain point where it was like ‘I really want to do this next.’

Game Newell and JJ Abrams sat together on stage today at the DICE Summit and spoke about a combining of their collective forces for the greater good of both. DICE stands for Design Innovate Communicate Entertain and the summit is a celebration of creativity in games and other entertainment and of great ideas. Both well known creators spoke about their contributions and while nothing as of yet is concrete they are both showing more than a passing interest at working togeather.
They had the following to say at the summit today.
Mumford and Son’swill hot the road again for their Gentlemen of the Road tour this year and have announced the 5 stop for this year’s tour. Mumford and many other bands will head to Lewes in the United Kingdom, Simcoe in Ontario Canada, Troy Ohio), Guthrie Oklahoma and St. Augustine Florida. They hit my base of operations in Monterey, CA last year and put on a great event and show so all of these stops can expect the same treatment. No other bands have been announced as of yet but when they are expect to hear it from Fizmarble.
Disney has confirmed their plan to release stand-alone movies based in the Star Wars universe focusing on individual characters more. This is very much like their use of Marvel’s Avengers in which their are bigger stories told as a team but more singular stories told like in Thor and Iron Man films.
Boba Fett and a young Han Solo will be the subjects of the first two projects when they get underway. They will most likely follow Star Wars Episode 7 in 2015. The Han Solo film will be before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and focus on the adventures of the younger Solo where as Boba Fett’s film will be between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Fett is a popular character in the Star Wars mythos and while he was utilized by the Empire he is a bounty hunter and serves no one side.

With The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Astronauts – a team comprised of People Can Fly (Bulletstorm, Painkiller) veterans – aim to evolve immersive storytelling in games. It’s set for release on PC via digital distributors in 2013.

Carbine Studios is excited to announce that WildStar, their upcoming sci-fi MMO, is slated for release in 2013. To celebrate this announcement we are pulling the curtain back on some additional details about the game; starting with the Exile faction, the Explorer and Soldier paths and a brand new zone. What’s more, executive producer Jeremy Gaffney has posted a ‘state of the game’ update to the WildStar blog, which discusses the team’s unique approach both to levelling and end-game content.
